In 2010, Andrew founded and has since directed the Jamaica Choral Scholars. The choir is the resident ensemble of the Jamaica Choral Scholars Festival, an annual event featuring performances of Jamaican choral music. Since 2010, the group has remained committed to this body of musical works though a variety of media, including concerts, commissions, lectures, seminars, video production, and recordings.

An auditioned ensemble, members of the Jamaica Choral Scholars possess a desire to perform, and study topics related to, Jamaican choral music. Members of the Jamaica Choral Scholars combine these affinities to create a special acumen highlighting excellence in vocal performance and scholarly activity.

For ten years, the group has performed existing works and brand-new commissions of Jamaican choral literature, ranging from anthem-length pieces to extended works for choir and orchestra. Among these works are the oratorio Jonah by Samuel Felsted; and both First Jamaican Mento Mass and Second Jamaican Mento Mass by Lisa Narcisse. The group has also premiered some of Andrew's extended Jamaican works for choir and orchestra, including his second symphony, Nyabinghi; and the oratorios Jiizas a go Baan and Jiizas Pashan azkaadn tu Matyu with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Jamaica, both using text from the Jamiekan Nyuu Testiment.
